Tutorial: How To book

How the booking process works:

The new booking engine added to www.go-there.co.uk is very simple to use for anyone familiar with the internet. How ever we have put this written tutorial together along with a video on our Youtube channel which can be found here:

First we need to run a search to find your holiday. In this instance we will be using the flight + Hotel search. We offer other searches which will search for hotel only, flight only, package holidays, car hire and extra’s. You can see a screenshot of the search box which is found on the homepage of www.go-there.co.uk.

This is very straight forward. All you need to do is select which airport you want to fly from, where you would like to go (there is a drop down list that will appear when you type a country in). Choose your dates, whether you would like to search for just one day or for 3 days. This is the +/-3 days bit. Choose a direct flight and if you would like car hire. Finally you need to tell the search how many people are going and what star level you would the hotel to be along with board level.

For this tutorial. We are going to search London Gatwick airport (LGW) to Sharm el Sheikh (ssh), 16th December 2009, 2 adults, 7 nights, 5 star all inclusive. No car hire.

Once you click Search you will see the following screen, which will tell you the website is searching:

When the search is finished, you will be given your results. The search will bring up the cheapest holiday first. Our old system brought up the flights first and then the hotel. This one brings both up at once and results will look like this:

You can see there is the option to view more hotel information. This now opens on the same page so you are not taken away from your results. There is also the new review section we have added. All of our clients can add reviews for hotels and or destinations.

If you do not like the flight times, then you can click on ‘Click here to select a different flight’ and providing there are other flights available, it will bring up other flights options and tell you how much more they will cost.

Once you have found a holiday you are happy with, click Check availability. It will then check the holiday again to make sure it is still available.  You will then be taken to a summary page and you will have the option to select other room types, add baggage to your flight and if available, add flight meals. You will get the option to add transfers, parking and airport hotels on the next page.

When you get to the bottom of the summary page, you will be asked to add you passenger details. This will be your name, date of birth, email and if you are booking an easyjet flight, your passport details. If you do not have your passport details at the time, do not worry you can add them later on. How ever, if you need to add them later on, nothing will be booked but you will be contacted by an agent for these details and the booking will be completed. We do advice that you have your passport details within 20 minutes of completing the booking form.

Once you have filled in these details, click continue. This will then add your holiday to the shopping basket. It can be held for 20minutes but after that period of time, you will need to search again incase of any price increase or a holiday is sold out while you waited.

As mentioned at this point, you will be able to book transfers, airport parking and airport hotels if needed and providing they are available.

You will then be shown a link to ‘Book Now’. It will take you through to our booking page and all you need to do is fill on the payment form. You can choose to pay online or select for an agent to phone you. If you do the later and choose for the agent to call back later. The price might of changed and or the holiday sold out.

When you have completed your booking, you will be taken to a booking confirmation page and you will also receive a confirmation email.

If you need to make any amendments to your booking, access your vouchers or pay your account. You can then visit our ‘Manage your booking section’ and request and changes from there along with paying your account and accessing your vouchers.
